The Dana Palmer Scholarship Golf Tournament returns on June 19th at the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech, bringing together golfers, sponsors, and community members for a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and purpose. Set along the scenic New River, this award-winning course provides a beautiful setting to honor Dana’s life and legacy while raising meaningful support for the Dana Palmer Scholarship and the students it serves.
Check-in opens at 7:30 AM, with a 9:00 AM shotgun start to begin a full day on the course. Players of all experience levels are welcome to participate, whether registering individually or as part of a team. The tournament includes 18 holes of golf, on-course contests, player amenities, and a luncheon with awards and recognitions following the round.
The tournament includes a variety of activities and amenities designed to make the day enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. Players will receive range balls before the round and goodie bags, followed by a great day on the course and lunch after play. Awards will be presented for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, as well as contest prizes for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. Raffle items will also be available throughout the event, giving players even more chances to participate and take home something special.
